I like the Mary Arden Tapestry needles because my threaders can through the eyes. Previously, I used Bohin needles and found that the threaders would not go through the eye of the needle easily. With the Mary Arden , like Pat's Favorite needles, my threaders work well even with the size 28. They also make it through more stitching without bending then the Bohins did. Also, my fingers used to cramp while using the Bohin needles and they don't with these. I'm not sure why that is but I am sold on both these and Pat's. I think they're worth trying for anyone who had my same issues.

I already own a pair of Dovo scissors for hardanger and was looking for a general pair for embroidery that are longer then 3 1/2". These are 4" and are very sharp. I like that the leather sheath it comes with is small & narrow.
