Bohin embroidery/crewel needles made in France from nickel-plated steel. Medium-length needle with a sharp point and long eye for embroidery, crewel work, and general hand sewing. 15 needles per package.

I didn't realise that needles could make such a difference in my embroidery experience until I tried Bohins. I've been using them steadily for over 10 years.

Recently, I was helping a new stitcher with some surface embroidery and she had some new needles, but they kept dragging in the fabric. I gave her a fairly well-used Bohin and the difference was immediate. The Bohin went through fabric like a hot knife through butter. If you've never tried them, do yourself a favour and check these out.
