WASA Solingen Scissors
Hand-forged in Germany's "City of Blades" since 1907
WASA (Waldmin & Saam) is one of the last remaining scissor forges in Solingen, Germany — the city that has defined world-class blade-making for over five centuries. Each pair of WASA scissors is hot-forged from carbon steel, tempered, hand-ground, plated, polished, and individually tested for cutting quality. It takes more than 80 steps to finish a single pair. Many of these designs have been in continuous production for over 100 years, and vintage WASA scissors are regularly mistaken for antiques.
With Dovo having dramatically scaled back their embroidery scissor production and Gingher manufacturing moved out of Germany, genuine Solingen-forged embroidery scissors have become increasingly difficult to find in the United States. We are proud to offer WASA scissors direct from the forge — the same heritage, the same steel, the same hand-finishing that made Solingen synonymous with the finest scissors in the world.
Ideal for counted cross stitch, embroidery, Hardanger, and any fine threadwork where precision matters.
