WASA Gold Sewing Scissors 4.5" - Abb. 15
A 4½" gold-plated WASA sewing scissor (Art. 277, Abb. 1/15) with hand-and-arm (H+A) gilt finish.
The 4½" companion sized for sewing tasks rather than fine embroidery — longer blades cut through dressmaking fabrics, quilt cottons, and lightweight linens in clean controlled strokes. The hand-and-arm gilt finish keeps it visually matched to the smaller Art. 277 embroidery scissor on the same sewing table.
Hand-forged in Solingen, Germany by Waldmin & Saam, founded in 1907 by August Waldmin and Fritz Saam in the legendary "City of Blades." Each pair is hot-forged from carbon steel, tempered, hand-ground, plated, polished, and individually tested for cutting quality — over 80 individual steps from raw steel to finished scissor. Many WASA designs have been in continuous production for more than a century, with the same patterns and the same craftsmanship passed down from father to son through four generations of the family.
