From the Maison Sajou Private Collection — designed by Frédérique Crestin-Billet — the Cart scissors are among the most spectacular objects in the world of needlework. Rendered in gleaming chrome, these 12cm scissors take the form of an elegant horse-drawn cart, sculpted in extraordinary detail. They are as breathtaking on display as they are exceptional in the hand.

Like all scissors in the Sajou Private Collection, the Cart is inspired by the refinement of the Charles X era (1820–1830), a period celebrated in France for the artistry of its decorative objects. The chromed finish gives the piece a luminous, timeless quality — at once a working tool of the highest order and a collector's treasure.

Each pair carries pairing marks on the interior of the blades — the engraved numbers that confirm the two blades were matched and fitted together from the very first stage of production, then separated for finishing before being reunited. This is the hallmark of a truly fine scissor. It takes no fewer than twelve skilled craftspeople to bring a single pair to completion.
