WASA Gold Classic Sewing Scissors 4.5" - Abb. 18
A 4½" gold-plated WASA sewing scissor (Art. 83, Abb. 4/18) with hand-and-arm (H+A) gilt finish.
The 4½" length puts this firmly in sewing-scissor territory rather than embroidery — long enough to cut a full pattern piece in one stroke through quilting cottons, dressmaking fabrics, and lighter linens. Hand-and-arm gilt finish across the full body and blades makes this an heirloom-grade tool well suited to gift-giving for graduations, retirement, or milestone anniversaries.
The 4½" companion to the 3½" Art. 83 model already in the WASA Solingen line.
Hand-forged in Solingen, Germany by Waldmin & Saam, founded in 1907 by August Waldmin and Fritz Saam in the legendary "City of Blades." Each pair is hot-forged from carbon steel, tempered, hand-ground, plated, polished, and individually tested for cutting quality — over 80 individual steps from raw steel to finished scissor. Many WASA designs have been in continuous production for more than a century, with the same patterns and the same craftsmanship passed down from father to son through four generations of the family.
