WASA Gold Boxed Sewing Scissors with Sheath 5.5" - Abb. 19
A 5½" gold-plated WASA sewing scissor (Art. 4255, Abb. 19). Presented in a box with a protective blade sheath.
The 5½" length sits between the smaller embroidery scissors and full dressmaker shears, suited to a wide range of fabric and thread tasks — trimming seam allowances, cutting pattern pieces, snipping threads close to the fabric. The fitted gift box and slip-on protective blade sheath make this a presentation-ready upgrade pick or gift piece, and the sheath also protects the precision-ground tips during storage and travel.
Hand-forged in Solingen, Germany by Waldmin & Saam, founded in 1907 by August Waldmin and Fritz Saam in the legendary "City of Blades." Each pair is hot-forged from carbon steel, tempered, hand-ground, plated, polished, and individually tested for cutting quality — over 80 individual steps from raw steel to finished scissor. Many WASA designs have been in continuous production for more than a century, with the same patterns and the same craftsmanship passed down from father to son through four generations of the family.
