WASA Gold Embroidery Scissors 3.5" - Abb. 1
A 3½" gold-plated WASA embroidery scissor (Art. 277, Abb. 1/15) with hand-and-arm (H+A) gilt finish.
A straightforward 3½" gold-handled embroidery scissor — the working size for counted cross stitch, surface embroidery, and fine threadwork. Hand-and-arm gilt finish across the handles gives this everyday tool the look of a keepsake piece without the elaborate openwork or figural detailing of the Art. 83, Art. 1068, or Art. 95 models in the WASA gold range.
Hand-forged in Solingen, Germany by Waldmin & Saam, founded in 1907 by August Waldmin and Fritz Saam in the legendary "City of Blades." Each pair is hot-forged from carbon steel, tempered, hand-ground, plated, polished, and individually tested for cutting quality — over 80 individual steps from raw steel to finished scissor. Many WASA designs have been in continuous production for more than a century, with the same patterns and the same craftsmanship passed down from father to son through four generations of the family.
