Blackbird By the Chimney with Care

By the Chimney with Care is the January chart in the Blackbird Designs Monthly Stocking Series, a year-long collection of counted cross stitch mini stocking ornaments. This chart contains three designs: Auld Lang Syne (45W x 74H), Winter Carnation (44W x 74H), and Happy Birthday (44W x 74H). Finished size for each stocking is approximately 3" x 5" when worked over two threads on 30 count linen.

Models were stitched on assorted 30 count R&R Reproductions hand-dyed linens. Threads include Gentle Art Sampler Threads (Cherry Bark, Onyx, Apple Cider, Antique Rose, Avocado, Cornhusk), Weeks Dye Works (Light Khaki, Sunset), and Crescent Colours (Nutmeggie). DMC conversions and stocking finishing instructions are provided.
