Sajou 4" Gilded Eiffel Tower Embroidery Scissors - Pink Charm
This gilded pair of embroidery scissors takes the form of the Eiffel Tower — a re-edition inspired by the Universal Exhibition of 1889, where Jacques-Simon Sajou was awarded a silver medal. The intricate grid pattern on the handles simulates the metallic girders of the Tower with remarkable precision, and the very pointed blades deliver clean, accurate cuts.
No fewer than fifteen operations are involved in the production of these scissors, most carried out by hand. The gilding process requires a protective varnish to be applied over every area not to be gilded — a painstaking step that accounts for the difference in price between chromed and gilded Eiffel Tower models. Adorned with a decorative pompom and a pink Eiffel Tower charm specially crafted for this model.
Size: 10 cm (approximately 4 inches). Presented in a Sajou gift box. Entirely made in France.
