The handles of these distinctive embroidery scissors reproduce the signature Sajou "S," with finger rings decorated in a delicate festoon detail. Crafted from cellulose acetate with a realistic mother of pearl effect, the handles are remarkably lightweight and comfortable for extended use — a quality prized by the 19th-century embroiderers who favored similar materials in their finest sewing accessories.

Each pair is hand-paired by skilled craftsmen in Nogent, France. Pairing marks engraved on the inside of each blade confirm that both halves have been matched and adjusted together from the very first assembly stage. It takes no fewer than a dozen qualified artisans to bring a single pair to completion. A passementerie pompom with a small "S" medallion in matching mother of pearl style material completes the presentation.
