Weeks Dye Works 1141 Foxglove is a hand over-dyed six strand cotton floss. The overdye process leaves soft variation along the length of the skein rather than a single flat shade.
Fiber: 100% Egyptian cotton, six strand.
Put-up: One 5 yard skein in a single continuous length, not pre-cut.
Finish: Colorfast. Made in the USA.
The floss is pliable enough for counted cross stitch over one or two threads, and it works equally well for needlepoint, surface embroidery, punch needle, and wool applique. Strip the strands before stitching and use as many as the coverage calls for. Every batch is dyed by hand, so skeins from different lots will not match precisely. Plan the quantity for the whole piece up front.
