Weeks Dye Works 1147 Oyster is a hand over-dyed six strand cotton floss. The overdye process leaves soft variation along the length of the skein rather than a single flat shade.
Content: 100% Egyptian cotton in six divisible strands.
Skein: 5 yards, supplied as a single uncut length.
Finish: Colorfast. Made in the USA.
The floss is pliable enough for counted cross stitch over one or two threads, and it works equally well for needlepoint, surface embroidery, punch needle, and wool applique. Strip the strands before stitching and use as many as the coverage calls for. Dye lots differ from batch to batch. If the color covers a lot of ground in your design, buy the full amount together.
