Pewter, number 1176, is part of the Weeks Dye Works hand over-dyed cotton floss range. The variegation is quiet enough to read as one color from a distance and layered up close.
Fiber: Six strand 100% Egyptian cotton.
Length: 5 yards per skein, wound as one continuous piece.
Finish: Colorfast, dyed in North Carolina.
Use it for counted cross stitch on linen or evenweave, needlepoint on canvas, punch needle work, and wool applique. Separating the strands and recombining them before stitching keeps the thread lying flat. Because every skein is dyed by hand, dye lots vary. Buy enough for the whole project at one time if the color carries a large area.
