Weeks Dye Works 1196 Taupe is a hand over-dyed six strand cotton floss. The overdye process leaves soft variation along the length of the skein rather than a single flat shade.
Fiber: Six strand 100% Egyptian cotton.
Length: 5 yards per skein, wound as one continuous piece.
Finish: Colorfast, dyed in North Carolina.
Good for counted cross stitch, needlepoint, punch needle, and applique on wool. Stranding the floss before it goes in the needle gives a flatter, more even stitch. Dye lots differ from batch to batch. If the color covers a lot of ground in your design, buy the full amount together.
