Rum Raisin is color 1270 in the Weeks Dye Works hand over-dyed floss line, a six strand cotton thread with the gentle shifts in tone that overdyeing produces.
Content: 100% Egyptian cotton in six divisible strands.
Skein: 5 yards, supplied as a single uncut length.
Finish: Colorfast. Made in the USA.
The floss is pliable enough for counted cross stitch over one or two threads, and it works equally well for needlepoint, surface embroidery, punch needle, and wool applique. Strip the strands before stitching and use as many as the coverage calls for. Because every skein is dyed by hand, dye lots vary. Buy enough for the whole project at one time if the color carries a large area.
