Aztec Red, number 2258, is part of the Weeks Dye Works hand over-dyed cotton floss range. The variegation is quiet enough to read as one color from a distance and layered up close.
Fiber: Six strand 100% Egyptian cotton.
Length: 5 yards per skein, wound as one continuous piece.
Finish: Colorfast, dyed in North Carolina.
Strand count is up to you. One or two strands suit finer linens for counted cross stitch, while four to six give full coverage on canvas. The same floss handles surface embroidery, punch needle, and stitching on wool. Dye lots differ from batch to batch. If the color covers a lot of ground in your design, buy the full amount together.
