This is Peoria Purple, color 2333 in the Weeks Dye Works overdyed floss line. Hand dyeing gives the thread a depth that flat commercial floss does not carry.
Fiber: 100% Egyptian cotton, six strand.
Put-up: One 5 yard skein in a single continuous length, not pre-cut.
Finish: Colorfast. Made in the USA.
Strand count is up to you. One or two strands suit finer linens for counted cross stitch, while four to six give full coverage on canvas. The same floss handles surface embroidery, punch needle, and stitching on wool. Because every skein is dyed by hand, dye lots vary. Buy enough for the whole project at one time if the color carries a large area.
