Indian Summer is color 4121 in the Weeks Dye Works hand over-dyed floss line, a six strand cotton thread with the gentle shifts in tone that overdyeing produces.
Fiber: Six strand 100% Egyptian cotton.
Length: 5 yards per skein, wound as one continuous piece.
Finish: Colorfast, dyed in North Carolina.
Strand count is up to you. One or two strands suit finer linens for counted cross stitch, while four to six give full coverage on canvas. The same floss handles surface embroidery, punch needle, and stitching on wool. Because every skein is dyed by hand, dye lots vary. Buy enough for the whole project at one time if the color carries a large area.
