This is Mermaid, color 4127 in the Weeks Dye Works overdyed floss line. Hand dyeing gives the thread a depth that flat commercial floss does not carry.
Content: 100% Egyptian cotton in six divisible strands.
Skein: 5 yards, supplied as a single uncut length.
Finish: Colorfast. Made in the USA.
Strand count is up to you. One or two strands suit finer linens for counted cross stitch, while four to six give full coverage on canvas. The same floss handles surface embroidery, punch needle, and stitching on wool. Dye lots differ from batch to batch. If the color covers a lot of ground in your design, buy the full amount together.
