Color 2108a Shepard's Blue comes from the Weeks Dye Works overdyed cotton line. Each skein is dyed by hand, so the tone moves subtly from one end to the other.
Fiber: 100% Egyptian cotton, six strand.
Put-up: One 5 yard skein in a single continuous length, not pre-cut.
Finish: Colorfast. Made in the USA.
The floss is pliable enough for counted cross stitch over one or two threads, and it works equally well for needlepoint, surface embroidery, punch needle, and wool applique. Strip the strands before stitching and use as many as the coverage calls for. Because every skein is dyed by hand, dye lots vary. Buy enough for the whole project at one time if the color carries a large area.
